A rare mini is enough for me to enter again. I realized what I did wrong with my entry last year even though I had lots of positive feedback from it, I feel that I could of done better. This time I've actually invested money into supplies so even if I don't win it will mean something more to me.

...rofl. That's what pets were made for. Time to make matching adorable costumes for my kitties!
...I'm kidding. I'm just as discouraged as you are. Can't really draw..Dont have the time nor the talent to make a costume that wont look retarded..
I still say we should have had a Mad King Thorn joke contest instead.

thing is I CAN draw (got my BA and was working on my MFA in fine arts).
I still dont think its worth my time to make a costume, last one I made took me a few MONTHS to do properly (that was after the designing part). And I still have it and can use it...... in a few years no one will have a clue what guildwars was .....
I'm for the joke contest, then EVERYONE can enter not just the artistically (and offspring) gifted. Granted I cant make jokes (unless you count my last contest entry!)
(no pets here---cant have a dog per assoc rules and VERY allergic to cats, dont think my stuffies would qualify either).
as I said, I hope there are more ways to get the mini (or it will be the most sought after one since there will be less than a dozen of them, heck I am still saving up for a panda or mpb )

Submit a picture of your best jokes on a piece of paper. Nowhere does it say that isn't allowed, only that your submission has to be in the Jpeg format. You might even win for originality.

Seeing allready a couple of people that deem themselves not being creative, not being able to draw or to sew ... i think those people should challenge themselves to find something they are good at (clay, photoshop, writing, papermachee, metal working, knitting, cutting & pasting non digital style, just decorating your house for halloween with a guildwars theme, or any other sort of handy craft) and just make something that revolves around Guildwars and Halloween ...
Use google to get an idea what halloween is about (being a non Irish/ brit/ american/ cannadian, means i had/have to read up on what halloween actually means/ is about) , then log into the game to get something from guildwars (there are 4 editions full of reference material, and previous years of GW-Halloween + competition entries) and combine those into something you think is cool and you have allready won... perhaps you wont win a mini, or even get a mention, but surely just participating and overcomming your idea of not being good at being creative is a victory in itself ... the fun thing with creativity is, that everything goes aslong as it fits the theme to some extend

So I'm about halfway done my submission. Looking forward to seeing the final products. Just crappy that each year there are less winners.

Get realistic. They're not going to allow a joke entry to win. Even if you polish it and photoshop something spiffy together. A costume will always be seen better in there eyes.
..If something like this wins this year..Then I'll stfu.. and be all :|
